Seed Grant Proposals and Requests for Meeting, Workshop, or Other Support
From the McDonnell Center for the Space Sciences
Each year, pending availability of funds, the McDonnell Center for the Space Sciences (MCSS) will consider requests for proposals for seed grant funding or support for meetings, conferences, and workshops, or for major proposal support for the subsequent University fiscal year.
These grants are intended to better position researchers for proposals for external funding.
Requests must include a title (plus a short title), the PI’s name (must be a faculty fellow), a brief description of the project (including anticipated results and impact) or conference including key personnel, a budget, and the PI’s CV (can be short, but please, include recent publications and grants received). Short CVs for personnel involved in the project should be included as well. Please do not upload a proposal that has been submitted to - or should be submitted to - a funding agency.
If previous seed funding has been received, results from that funding should be included, especially any papers published, or external grants awarded. A typical request is in the range of $10K to $50K.
Proposals are due by December 31, 2025.
