APS Dissertation Award

Garrett King has won the APS Dissertation Award for Nuclear Physics.

Garrett King, a graduate student working with professors Saori Pastore and Maria Piarulli in the Department of Physics at Washington University in St. Louis, has received the Dissertation Award in Nuclear Physics from the American Physical Society, for significant implementation and extensive application of Quantum Monte Carlo many-body methods to the study of electroweak structure and reactions in light nuclei across a wide range of experimentally relevant kinematics.

The award, endowed in 1985, recognizes doctoral thesis research of outstanding quality and achievement in nuclear physics.
