Saturday Science Lecture with James Mertens on Cosmological Models

James Mertens from the Department of Physics, Washington University in St. Louis will be hosting this Saturday Science Lecture on "Interpreting Observations and Testing Cosmological Models”

A plethora of upcoming experiments will make observations across the electromagnetic spectrum—and beyond. These observations will provide us with an unprecedented view of our Universe, allowing us to test our understanding of the contents of the Universe, how they interact, and how the Universe grew in its infancy. In turn, we will need to ensure that we can accurately model our Universe in order to reliably interpret these observations. In this talk, Professor Mertens will describe how we are working to produce precision models of the cosmos.

The Zoom link will be sent via email to everyone on our email list before each lecture. Those wishing to join the email list should email a request to physics@wustl.edu.
