Nuclear Physics Seminar with Alex Haber and Lorenzo Andreoli
"Progress on Transport in Neutron Star Mergers" presented by Alex Haber from Washington University in St. Louis
In this talk I will give an update on our work on transport in neutron star mergers and the microscopical calculations we perform in order to calculate transport properties.
“Progress on Electron Scattering from 12C in the Short-Time-Approximation” presented by Lorenzo Andreoli from Washington University in St. Louis
In this talk, I will review the key properties of the short-time approximation and present new results for longitudinal and transverse electromagnetic response functions and densities in 12C. In addition, I will discuss current and future work to introduce relativistic correction in the existing calculations, as well as the ongoing collaboration with GENIE experts at Fermilab to directly use response densities obtained in ab initio calculations as input for the event generator.
