Distinguished Lecture Series

Each year, the McDonnell Center for the Space Sciences hosts two lecture series.

McDonnell Distinguished Lecture Series

The McDonnell Distinguished Lecture Series, organized by the McDonnell Center for the Space Sciences, is held each spring. This series was started in 2002.

Robert M. Walker Lecture Series for the Space Sciences

This fall lecture, which started in 2008, is organized by the McDonnell Center for the Space Sciences in memory of Robert M. Walker, the center’s inaugural director from 1975 to 1999. Walker was a pioneering physicist who shaped research in the space sciences worldwide.
